The contact owns a 2023 Chevrolet Silverado 3500. The contact stated that after the tailgate became wet from rain, the tailgate unintendedly opened intermittently. The vehicle was taken to the dealer but was not diagnosed or repaired. The dealer confirmed that the failure was related to NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V060000 (Latches/Locks/Linkages); however, the VIN was not included. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. Transmission has shifting issues (hard shifts) . Vehicle is available for inspection upon request. Safety could be an issue if the transmission fails while driving that could cause harm to the vehicle driver and put others at risk. Vehicle is scheduled for inspection however the dealer is very backlogged.
